Quality Materials:

• Douglas Fir Glulam Beams
• Mill sawn, mill finished 6 x 12 timbers and 5 1/8 x 12 glulam beams supported by mill sawn finished glulam posts and peeled log posts.
• Heavy duty 5/8" Douglas Fir 5-ply plywood, rough sawn finish to match cedar battens. When alternate sidings are requested, 1/2" CDX subsiding is supplied.
• Dimensional framing lumber is Kiln-Dried.
• Standard loft flooring is 2 x 12 joists with 3/4" T&G plywood floor decking.
• Roof sheathing is 1/2" CDX Plywood.
• Precut stairs are 2 x 12 horses and 4 x 12 timber treads. Handrails are 1 x 4 cedar. Grip rails are included.
• Fascia and barge trim are full 1 1/4 x 8 tight knot cedar. Corner trim is 1 x 6 tight knot cedar. Battens are 1 x 3 tight knot cedar.
• Uncle Howard's does not use OSB (oriented strand board) or composite beams. To prevent water damage, we do not use 2 x 6 T&G lumber as siding for our buildings unless it is covered with waterproof siding.
